穆罕默德 · 阿特巴伊

穆罕默德·阿特巴伊1962年出生于德黑兰，获得德黑兰大学电影研究硕士学位和舞台导演学士学位。1989年加入伊朗法拉比电影基金会，开启电影生涯。在长达8年的时间里，负责在国际电影节和电影活动中放映伊朗影片。在1987至1997年的十年电影黄金时期，穆罕默德与一群敬业的年轻人一起向世界电影节和市场推荐伊朗的新影片和电影人，例如阿巴斯·基亚罗斯塔米、莫森·玛克玛尔巴夫、阿米尔·纳得瑞、纳赛尔·塔格瓦伊、阿伯法周·贾利里、基亚努什·阿亚里、洛珊·班尼蒂玛等。随着政治变革的发生，极端分子掌权后，他于1997年离开法拉比，成立了伊朗独立者公司，在国际上推广和宣传伊朗独立电影，成为该领域首家独立私营的伊朗公司。在过去的26年里，他参与制作了200多部故事片和纪录片。穆罕默德参与了多部伊朗电影的联合制作，如贾法尔·帕纳希导演的《生命的圆圈》（威尼斯金狮奖获奖影片）、洛珊·班尼蒂玛导演的《五月夫人》。自1987年以来，穆罕默德一直担任伊朗媒体记者和撰稿人，曾负责管理伊朗唯一的英语电影刊物《国际电影》长达3年，是伊朗电影评论家和作家协会的成员。穆罕默德曾在多个电影节担任评委，并在日本、印度、西班牙、亚美尼亚、越南、菲律宾和美国召开讲座，用英语讲述伊朗电影行业的情况。他曾在伊朗不同场合举办有关国际电影营销和电影节策略的研讨会，在著名的Karnameh电影学院首次教授国际电影营销课程。在该电影学院，阿巴斯·基亚罗斯塔米、阿斯哈·法哈蒂等知名电影人也在教授电影制作相关课程。他于2012年至2020年担任威尼斯电影节的伊朗官方代表，负责伊朗电影的相关事务；自2016年以来，担任塔林黑夜电影节的节目策划；并且是亚太电影促进网络的董事会成员，且已加入亚太电影奖提名委员会四年。34年来，默罕默德不断致力于在国际上推广和宣传伊朗电影。

 

Born in 1962 in Tehran, Mohammad Atebbai holds an MA in “Film Studies” and Ba in “Stage Directing” from Tehran University. He started his film career at Farabi Cinema Foundation since 1989 and he was in charge of screening of Iranian films in international film festivals and events for 8 years. He could introduce the new Iranian cinema and filmmakers like Abbas Kiarostami, Mohsen Makhmalbaf, Amir Naderi, Nasser Taghvai, Abolfazl Jalili, Kianoosh Ayyari, Rakhshan Bani-Etemad…in the golden decade of 1987-1997 together with a small team of dedicated young people to world film festivals and amrkets. Further to political changes and as soon as the extremists took power, He left Farabi in 1997 and established Iranian Independents for promotion and marketing of Iranian independent films internationally, as the first private and independent Iranian company in this field. He’s handled more than 200 feature and documentary films in the past 26 years. Mohamamd Atebbai has been involved in co-production of a couple of Iranian films like Jafar Panahi’s Venice Golden Lion winner, “The Circle” and Rakhshan Bani-Etemad’s “The May Lady”. He’s been a journalist and writer in Iranian media since 1987 and he was running Film International, the only English film periodical in Iran for 3 years and is now a member of Iranian Society of Film Critics & Writers. Mohammad has been a jury at many film festivals, and he has given lectures on Iranian cinema in English in Japan, India, Spain, Armenia, Vietnam, The Philippines and USA. He’s held workshops on international film marketing and film festivals strategies in different occasions in Iran and he could establish the first course on “international film marketing” at the prestigious Karnameh Film School, where some prestigious filmmakers like Abbas Kiarostami and Asghar Farhadi running courses on filmmaking too.  He’s been the official representative of Venice Film Festival for Iranian cinema from 2012 to 2020 and as a programmer for Tallinn’s Black Nights Film Festival since 2016 and a Board member of NETPAC (Network for Promotion of Asia Pacific Cinema) and a Nomination Council member of Asia Pacific Screen Awards for four years. It’s 34 consecutive years that Mohammad Atebbai has been involved in international promotion and marketing of Iranian movies.
