影片横跨20世纪60年代末至80年代，讲述年轻的开罗青年艾哈迈德怀抱成为音乐会钢琴家的梦想，并在1967年战争期间，开始与一位奥地利女子来往书信。影片以导演父母的经历为灵感，展开一段横跨数十年的爱情与家庭史。

Set between the late 1960s and 1980s, the film follows Ahmed, a young Cairo man who dreams of becoming a concert pianist. During the 1967 war, he begins a correspondence with an Austrian woman, sparking a relationship that unfolds across decades and continents. Inspired by the experiences of the director’s own parents, the film traces an intimate story of love, separation, and family against the backdrop of a changing world.
